Proposal
Who are you aiming your magazine at?
I am aiming my magazine at young, male rock supporters aged between 15 and 25.
What musical genre will you be from?
The genre of my magazine is rock. My target audience will know this from the image and cover lines I will put on my front cover of my magazine.
What title have you decided on and why?
A possible name for my magazine is “Rock On”. I feel as though I will be able to use a clever design for this particular title, along with the fact that it an easy name to remember.
What fonts do you want to use?
Some of the fonts that I am thinking of using are either big and bold fonts that will stand out to the audience. However, on the other hand I am thinking of having light, faint and thin text.
What are your ideas for a tagline?
The next boy band. Is as possibility for me to use.
What kind of image do you expect to put on the front cover? (How are you going to get the images? Who is going to pose for you? Which cover are you going to recreate?)
On my front cover I am planning on having a group of young people (friends) posing for the camera pretending to be a rocking boy band group.
How much would your magazine sell for?
£3.99
What are your ideas for cover lines?
The cover lines that I am thinking of are going to be giving a brief insight into what my magazine is going to be about. An example of a cover line would be “Teenagers to Five Star Rockstars”.
What images do you expect to use on your contents page?
On my contents page the image I am thinking about is a medium close up of the band together either talking or possibly playing on their instruments.
What will your double page spread be about?
My double page spread will be a interview with the band asking them a variety of different questions such as when they were formed as a band. Who is the lead of the band? Who formed the band etc.
What are your initial ideas for images?
Some of my initial ideas for images are a picture of the band on the front of my cover posing for the camera just like a typical boy band would.
